As EGM Asset Management, Garry has overall responsibility for the operation, strategy, development and profitability of the nabInvest business. Originally joining MLC in 1991, which was subsequently acquired by the NAB Group in 2000, Garry has held a number of senior roles in both Australia and the UK in Product Management, Distribution and General Management. Prior to returning to Australia to set up nabInvest, Garry spent five years in London as the General Manager for Product Solutions, National Australia Group, UK. Garry has been a Director of a number of NAB Group companies covering both Banking and Wealth Management and is currently Director of several nabInvest boutique partners. He holds a BA in Economics.
Nick is responsible for driving nabInvest's business strategy and acting as the lead senior executive in originating and closing transactions both domestically and globally. He also has management responsibility for nabInvest's Sector Specialist teams, including Boutiques and Joint Ventures, Property and Infrastructure, as well as the NSIM team. Nick has over 20 years of financial services and investment management experience including roles as CEO Ascalon Capital Managers, General Manager Investments and Insurance, St.George Bank, Head of Commonwealth Investment Management, Executive Director of Investments for Legal & General Australia, and Investment Manager and Director for Lend Lease Investment Management. He is an Associate of the Institute of Actuaries (Australia), Senior Associate of Financial Services Institute of Australasia (Finsia) and Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
As Director Product, Marketing & Distribution, Stewart leads the sales, product development, marketing & distribution of nabInvest’s capabilities to the institutional and retail markets. Stewart has responsibility for ensuring that the business works with all nabInvest partners to maximise their potential through sales and business development. Prior to joining nabInvest, Stewart held a number of key roles within the NAB Group (and previously Lend Lease/MLC), including Director Strategic Initiatives for National Investment Management, Chief Operating Officer & GM Strategy MLC Corporate Solutions and Director Investor Services, Lend Lease Investment Services. He holds qualifications in Commerce and a Diploma of Financial Planning.
Ian is a Chartered Accountant who has worked for the NAB/MLC Group for 14 years in a variety of senior Finance roles. As Head of Finance, Ian is responsible for finance, risk, investment operations, and all support services such as technology, legal, tax and office administration. Prior to joining the nabInvest team, Ian was Head of Decision Support for MLC's Financial Planning and Third Party business, and before that, he held senior finance roles in a range of businesses including Investment Management, Implemented Consulting and Plum superannuation. Prior to joining MLC, Ian was at KPMG in their Private Business Services area for 8 years. He holds a Bachelor of Business degree.
As the GM for Boutiques and Joint Ventures, Troy is responsible for leading a team which identifies opportunities to build or acquire boutique funds management businesses. Troy has 15 years experience in the financial services industry of which the last 8 years have been with NAB/MLC in a range of roles in Strategy, Change Management and Operations. This included two years in NAB’s UK operations building a Corporate Strategy function for its European franchises. Prior to his time at NAB, Troy worked as an economist within the Reserve Bank of Australia, and as a management consultant with Accenture. He has a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) and a Diploma of Finance.
David joined the NAB Group in 1994 and since 2005, he has been responsible for establishing and managing Antares Capital Partners (now nabInvest Capital Partners Pty Limited), a direct funds management company now housed within the nabInvest business. David originally qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in London before transferring with them to Sydney. A role within the treasury department of a multinational corporate then provided the pathway to his more than 20 years experience in banking and finance across a number of specialist banking activities, including debt capital markets, treasury, domestic and international structured finance, project and asset finance, investment products, project and corporate advisory and more recently specialist funds management. David also has a BA (Honours).
Ian joined the NAB Group in January 2008 as General Manager, Real Estate for nabInvest. Ian’s initial focus was the development of nabInvest's real estate strategy and he has since been involved in identifying a number of property related transactions both in Australia and off shore. Prior to joining nabInvest, Ian's career spanned a variety of real estate and investment roles at Lend Lease and Lazard. Ian holds qualifications in Engineering and Commerce.
Serge's role includes defining nabInvest strategy, driving significant transactions, and developing nabInvest Infrastructure as an asset class. Prior to nabInvest, Serge spent 4 years with MLC mostly in Retail Distribution where as GM of Business Development he managed teams building high value added services for Financial Planners. Before NAB/MLC, his career evolved from the high tech sector in France where he led a Research & Development Lab in the early 1990's, to more than 5 years with McKinsey & Co across Europe, South Africa and Australia. Serge holds 2 French engineering diplomas and an MBA from INSEAD.
Helen joined the nabInvest team soon after inception in late 2007 to develop the Human Resources strategy for the newly created business. She partners with the nabInvest Leadership Team to design and implement people and culture development programs and is actively involved in all areas of HR strategy and practice. As an HR professional with over ten years experience in both Australia and New Zealand, Helen brings a wealth of knowledge from a range of industry sectors including telecommunications, IT, media, health and FMCG. Helen holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
